Trupti Kusale – I took the opportunity to serve the community and support my family

Come Let’s meet a woman, who went several hardships in upbringing her family.

22 years old Trupti has completed 12th grade and is presently living with her parents in Wadarvasti, Yerawada. She has one younger sister, who lives in a village, with her grandparents since childhood. Trupti’s father is a rickshaw driver and mother is a domestic worker. The earned income was not sufficient to meet the financial needs of the family. At times, her father falls ill, due to which the earnings is affected. Looking towards the hardships undergoing by her father, she decided to work and support her parents in household chores and help her sister in completing the education.

One day, Trupti came across one of the representatives of CYDA, where she was enlightened about the Non-Traditional livelihoods program and its achievements. She was inspired about the work and decided to undergo soft skills training. Post to the training, she was placed at Kankaria Petrol Pump, Viman Nagar, earning a monthly package of Rs.12,000/-. Trupti is feeling happy that she could support her family in financial needs.

Trupti says – Through CYDA I got an opportunity to work in petrol pump and serve the society and I am happy that I have contributed something to the society.

The Manager of the petrol pump says – Trupti is a honest, punctual and sincere employee. She maintains all the financial transactions accurately”.
